Terms and Conditions of What Works Education

1. Introduction

Welcome to What Works Education. These terms and conditions outline the agreement between What Works Education and our clients. By engaging our tutoring services, you agree to comply with these terms.

2. Booking and Payment

Each tutoring session costs £50 per hour.

Each Educational Test (60 minutes) costs £195.

Payment must be made in advance via online payment platform.

Any additional fees, such as materials or travel expenses, will be incorporated into the fee outlined above.

3. Contract and Commitment

Tutoring is provided on a weekly basis. A formal agreement may be signed to confirm the tutoring arrangement. Educational Testing is provided as one session. The location of tutoring is at the clients home.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged at the full rate even in case of illnesses. Clients may reschedule sessions with at least 48 hours' notice, subject to tutor availability. If the tutor needs to cancel a session, an alternative date will be offered, or a full refund will be provided.

5. Child Behaviour and Parental Responsibility

It is expected that students will behave respectfully during sessions. If a student is disruptive or refuses to engage, the tutor reserves the right to terminate the session without a refund. For students under 11 years old, a parent/guardian must be present during tutoring sessions.

6. Safeguarding Procedures

All tutors are required to have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Tutors will follow appropriate professional boundaries and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment. Any concerns regarding a student's welfare will be reported in accordance with the relevant safeguarding policies and local authority guidelines. Tutors will not engage in any form of inappropriate communication or physical contact with students. If tutoring takes place online, all sessions should be conducted in a safe and appropriate environment, with a parent/guardian aware of the session taking place.

7. Confidentiality and Data Protection

All personal information provided will be kept confidential and used only for tutoring purposes. We comply with UK data protection laws and will not share client details without prior consent.

8. Limitation of Liability While we strive to provide high-quality tutoring, we do not guarantee specific academic results. What Works Education is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during tutoring sessions.

9. Termination of Services Either party may terminate the tutoring arrangement with 1 weeks’ written notice. In cases of misconduct or repeated cancellations, What works Education reserves the right to terminate services immediately.
